1. Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas – which one do you use?
I prefer to use Happy Holidays. I have friends of various religious beliefs (and non-belief) and it covers everything. At work, as I'm basically in customer service position, in a very conservative Christian area, I do default to Merry (or Happy) Christmas. It saves a lot of time and discussion that I don't wish to have at that moment.

2. Do you own an ugly Christmas sweater?
No I don't..and I want one! I used to have one years ago before ugly Christmas sweaters were ironically cool.

3. Do you celebrate the Winter Solstice?
I don't celebrate it as some of my Pagan friends do, but I do acknowledge and welcome it as a sign that the days grow longer once again.

4. Now that you are β€˜in the know,’ what would you leave out for St. Nick on the 24th?
I'm a traditionalist in this respect. In the UK, we leave out mince pies and sherry or whisky for the man. It's only proper.

5. Tired of the snow and icky weather yet? For those fortunate folks in the other hemisphere, are you tired of the humidity and hot
It's been mostly rain, so far, but I'd much prefer that for the rest of the winter than snow. I don't mind the cold so much, but I can do without the bad weather.

Well, it's still crazy holiday busy around here, but it has calmed down a little with the hubby on his way back to the desert...having had a mini-holiday celebrations before he left. So even with the craziness, I will be able to spend a bit more time catching up on things with the muses, but I do still have a housefull with eldest home and his girlfriend here as well.

I'd just like to say to everyone on the flist...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Mmmmmm!!!!

Well, the meal is all over and we're all stuffed to bursting and everyone seems very happy with their pressies. Youngest got the Lego set he wanted (a Star Wars Imperial Destroyer) and is still building it. We actually managed to surprise and thrill the eldest when he saw his snowboard, so he's really looking forward to our Garmisch trip now. I got the hubby a turntable that can plug into the computer so we can convert our old LPs to digital!

As for me! I'm a very happy bunny!

I got my sharp pointy!! Not only did I get the one I posted about back in October that I thought had gone...it had...hubby had bought it! But I got two other ones as well.

So now I have the scimitar (like Hsu's sword *g*), a Knights Templar broardsword, and a rapier. So very, very pretty.

Haven't had a chance to get many pictures yet, but I will!
