Well laid plans...
Aug. 4th, 2003 10:37 pmWhat a day it's been. I had a busy day planned. In the morning, go register for next term's classes, which would leave the rest of the day to finish laundry, pack, and tidy up the house before I leave tomorrow. I do so hate it when something happens to totally screw up my day.
I went to the Education Office at about 10... You have two weeks to register, so usually I wait a couple of days, but because of my trip to the UK, I had to register today. Busy was an understatement. They had a "take-a-number" system...and were in the 30s...I picked ticket number 100. To make the situation even better...their computers were down, so it was taking even longer. I stayed for an hour...then left as I had to go and get something done rather than sit mindlessly for hours. So I went home, did some laundry and pay bills and returned to the Ed Office at about 1:30 and they were at No. 87. I finally got seen at 3:15.
One the brighter side, I did get two packages in the mail today. One was from Pampered Chef with including a neat bottle/jar/can opener, spoon rest, and veg tray. And the other was the clothes I'd ordered from Old Navy...I finally have some new, decent jeans!
