So I'm back, so to speak after an incredibly busy week with my mum visiting, and I'll probably update about that later.

Meanwhile, before my hiatus, I commented on this meme elsewhere, so I'd better reciprocate. *g*

So, you know the drill. Post below and I will:

1) Tell you why I friended you.
2) Associate you with a song/film.
3) Tell a random fact about me.
4) Tell a first memory about you.
5) Associate you with a fandom, or a character/pairing.
6) Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
7) Show you my favorite userpic of yours.
8) In return, you must spread this disease in your LJ.

1) Because after so very long our muses finally got their asses into gear and began talking to each other, and I saw what a great writer you are and a lover of history like myself.

2) Not a song or a film, but I rewatched the Highlander episode "Homeland" (set in Scotland)recently, and I found myself thinking of Fanny
3) Despite growing up in Britain, I still have never been to Scotland.
4) I guess that would be when our muses started talking and we did OOCly and exchanging huge emails. *g*
5) I'm not sure that I associate you with a specific fandom, more like genre as in anything to do with Fae or pirates.
6) Was Fanny created with a definite purpose, or was she a muse who just appeared and refused to go away (much like Hsu!)?
7) I love the one you have up there...because it is just so true, and years ago, I earned the tag "muse abuser". I also love these two of Fanny:

Thank you for all of that! Let me respond to each one in turn, so I can keep it straight. ;-)

1. You are so very sweet and that is high praise coming from someone like yourself who writes better than 98% of everyone else I know both on LJ and elsewhere. Your details and your loyalty to Hsu's character is very clear. I am humbled and honoured that you and your muse play with me and mine. ;)
2. I haven't seen that episode. I guess I better soon to see what you mean. :)
3. Wow! That is amazing! I went to England back in '96, never got to go to Scotland either. I would love to, however.
4. And I sent you an email a few weeks ago, I hope you got it. I know you have been verrah busy! Hoping you still want to do the RP we started. *crossing fingers and toes*
5. Those are the areas that Fanny seems to stick in.
6. That is exactly how it happened. Fanny actually was based on an ancestor, and then all of a sudden I started hearing this Scot's brogue in my head that would not shut up, would not leave, and she was addicted to power and magic, and being generally arrogant and demanding!
7. You picked my favourites as well! However, alot of times they just dont work for the muse prompts on TM.

1. Now you have me all humbled. Seriously, it took me a long time to realize that, hey I'm pretty good at this writing thing, but still I'm always stunned to hear that people view me so highly...and I still maintain it's Hsu because he is so dynamic, a force of nature who pretty much writes himself.
2. It's just the Scottishness of it (the only one actually set and filmed in Scotland).
4. Yep, I got it...still clearing through my backlog and I certainly DO want to continue. Just have to get back in the headspace for it, and what with catching all my muses up, I haven't managed to yet. But in the next few days I should.
6. *nods* It's all to do with their personality, I reckon. If she (or Hsu for that matter) had been more laid back or shy and retiring, they would not have become the dominant forces they are probably.
7. I know, some of my favourites for Hsu are that way too.
