fannish51. What type of fannish interaction do you prefer: conventions, smaller in-person gatherings, mailing lists, newsgroups, blogs/journals, IRC?I'd have to say blogs/journals, mailing lists, and small gatherings mostly because those are the ones I use. I've been to cons, but still prefer smaller get-togethers.
2. Are you always upset when your show gets canceled or have you ever been (not so) secretly relieved? Most of the fandoms I get into are shows that are already over or just about to end, so I've not really had that problem. There was
Queen of Swords, which I watched from the beginning, and although I would have loved it to carry on, I could understand why it was cancelled.
3. Do you find icons an integral part of lj'ing or would you be just as happy with one icon as with fifty? Not an integral part, but I do like them...and the more the merrier!
4. Do you prefer to read fanfic in zines or online?Online, although I'm rapidly being talked into a Pros zine *g*
5. Do you consider yourself FIAWOL* (fandom is a way of life) or FIJAGDH* (fandom is just a goddamn hobby)?By the definition below, I'm a FIAWOL. It's not my life, but I enjoy it and never want to leave. It's a great place to escape to with some wonderful people. *smile*
*Both of these terms originate in early (1940s/50s) science fiction fandom. Please note that FIAWOL does not mean you have no life outside of fandom. It means fandom is so important in your life that you can't see ever walking away from it.
