I've put up some photos on Facebook, but these ones (mostly) have more muse-y leanings
Kenilworth Castle...former residence of Lord Robert Dudley (who I wrote back on Yahoogroups years ago) and slighted by Cromwell's New Model Army.

The Roman city of Verulamium (now St. Albans) ampitheatre. Sacked by Boudica, and where Mark likely spent some time.

The Roman city of Deva (now Chester). And yes, Mark was giving me a running commentary throughout as he was based here for sometime.

Me and the youngest on the city wall...one of the very few completely walled cities (2 miles long)

With Chester Cathedral in the background, this field was apparently where they found remains of Roman barracks.

A model of Roman Deva. Those barracks would be in the bottom right corner.

Chester Cathedral, a memorial plaque, but the helmet stirred a muse's interest.

The demon insisted I took a photo of this stained glass...have his former brothers been demoted?

Not a great picture...flashes weren't allowed and it was behind glass...of a Mongol warrior.

And though he's not a muse, this brought Jalaluddin Mohammed Akbar to mind. (And Hsu was with the Mughals at that time.

The youngest giving the thumbs up to Lord Robert Dudley's armour.
