I don't read much fic...

*Nods.* I don't read much fic either, I prefer writing my own. I've helped a friend with a Torchwood story they were struggling with, and joined a couple of panfandom RPGs that have Jack in them period.

...but from what I've gathered on a couple of comms, Jack/Ianto are THE pairing.

*Sighs.* Not surprised. I like Jack slashed with people besides Methos, it's not an OTP, but limiting myself to Doctor Who/Torchwood the slash pairings I like are Jack/Doctor or Jack/Jack. I really like Jack/Doctor.

I don't like Ianto so I have a hard time even seeing it. x_x

I'll keep well away from Gold if I do that one. :D

*Giggles.* Might be safest for both of us. ;)

I think with me is that a) I don't much care for Ianto and don't see what all the fuss is about with him, and b) Jack can be paired with just about anyone and not just him. But yes, Jack/Jack has a soft place in my heart. And because I like crack pairings, I would love to do a Jack/Bilis because I'm sick like that. *g*

*Nods.* I probably sound like I hate Ianto, but it's more I'm irritated by things he does, and the way other people see him. I mean I admitted when I was giving my first reactions to Torchwood, "Yes, I don't see Ianto as completely useless, just annoying a lot of the time."

b) Jack can be paired with just about anyone and not just him.

Yeah, I've seen not just het fans who'd rather ship Gwen with Jack then Rhys or Owen, but a slash fan who ships Owen/Jack. Owen is her favorite character. For me I've gotten into thinking of Jack in sort of the same way I've heard Highlander described. I've heard Highlander called, "The Little Black Dress of Fandom," referring to how easy it is to put Highlander Immortals just about anywhere or when. I find I can pair my Jack muse with just about anyone I like. That's why I said I was tempted to ask for Jack and most any m/m, m/f/m or m/m/f pairing. Course once I started thinking about pairings I stuck to just a few fandoms. ;) *Blinks.* I just realized I left out m/f. *Facepalm.* I could've asked for some Jack/Estelle, or Jack/Martha.

But yes, Jack/Jack has a soft place in my heart.
I haven't manage to settle on a favorite image for a Jack/Doctor icon, but I did make this Jack/Jack icon and ask, "Have I officially gone completely round the slash bend when I've made a 'Love is love' icon?"


And because I like crack pairings, I would love to do a Jack/Bilis because I'm sick like that. *g*

Heh, right now I'm torn between being curious about what the James Marsters character in the second season of Torchwood is going to be like, and dreading it. When I see people all excited about the promotional still of Jack and James' character I wonder if they're going to be sorry they got excited.
