Just stuff again

I'm in the last week of class, so I'm rather swamped and procrastinating in a big way as I have one final exam to do and one paper. Neither of which are interesting at all. Well, the exam (the Brit Lit class) isn't so bad, but I'm going to have to pad out my answers to get the word count, when I think I've answered the questions well enough. As for the Modern World Drama class, word count isn't a problem, but just not falling asleep writing it will be as it's mind-numbingly boring, and I just can't find interest in it. But I keep telling myself that this is the end, one final push and it's done.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to come up with reasons why I shouldn't buy this. It's the documentary of the filming of "Beowulf and Grendel" and the extremely hellish difficult conditions they endured making the film. It has an hour long interview with Gerry. Damn, somehow I'm not coming up with any reasons except paying nearly $40 for it (including shipping).

Hellish conditions?

Just from what I've read: the worst storms to hit Iceland in a long time struck while they were filming and they lost a fair bit of equipment in the winds, the Viking long boat nearly sank, there's a picture of Gerry wading hip deep in mud, and a multitude of other accidents. From all accounts it wasn't a fun shoot.

I know. Why do you think I'm so tempted to get it! *lol*

Oh, we're going to be in Heidelberg on Saturday, and if you've not got any other plans we could maybe meet up in the afternoon? If not, we'll just have to wait until the end of May. *g*

I actually don't have any other plans! We can meet up!!! :)

YAY!!!! It'll be in the afternoon, as hubby needs to pick up some motorcycle parts near Wiesbaden first, and then down to Heidelberg. So it'll be the afternoon. :D

*grabs back*

Okay... we should figure out a more precise time than "afternoon" and a place to meet, though LOL.

I won't have access to email tomorrow, but we can figure it out on Thursday or via text message on saturday int he worst case ;)

Of course! Hubby's on nights this week, so working out anything with him right now is difficult. But we should have some idea by Friday at least. You'll have to pick a place, as we don't know the city at all, although we do want to see the castle. :D

It's 40 Canadian dollars...like, peanuts! Okay, not really, and I have no idea how the euros go against the CAD...but I think it's totally worth it! And did I headdesked a lot when I read that the film was at the Oxford film festival? Yes, yes I did. :)

It comes to almost $37US...yes the dollar sucks big time at the moment everywhere. And I also just ordered a set of DVDs for hubby that came to $200 (Get Smart, his favourite show ever!) so that's more the issue than the price, if you get what I mean.

Of course, I could always say it was a gift to myself for finishing school! *g*

There could be a vague possibility that the documentary may be included inthe film's DVD...or that you could find cheaper later on...but as you rightly point out, you finished school! You deserve a gift!
*polishes horns*
