It's based on Frank Miller's graphic novel (the same guy who did Sin City and filmed with the same technology). It's also historical...so another reason for me to want to see it. Ancient Greece, where 300 Spartans (Gerry plays their king, Leonidas) manged to hold off the much larger invading Persians at the Battle of Thermopylae, saving Greece, although they all died to do it.

Not into comics either, but I've seen the movie (Sin City that is)...and I might just have to get 300 though...maybe. *g*

Yeah, poor Gerry. It's a fate many JRM!characters suffer as well. Though he's one of the few who can say he's been made into pie after his death ;) *will never stop being amused about that*

Although Gerry can claim to have died from humping a camel. Not many can say that either. :D

No, the pie part was in Titus Andronicus. Shakespeare was one sick bastard. It has everything - from rape, to mutiliation, to incest, to cannibalism... heheheheh.

Oh! And Jon cross-dressing and appearing in women's underwear (bra, panties...).

And yesssssssssss, the humping a camel part! Hahahahah. Jon wonders if Dieter ever humped an animal ;)

Ahh...okay, I've never seen all of that. I did once see a much older, relatively less bloody BBC version long time ago, so I know the story...
