The really sad part of that is that Gaiman needs to write faster... seriously needs to put more stuff out there.
Here is a book for you, it's by Ian Graham and is called "Monument"... lovely dark fantasy where the "hero" is nasty and icky and wonderful to hate... winds up saving the world simply because he is looking out for numero uno! I loved it! A very good debut book.
Another new one to look forward to in June is one called "The Lies of Locke Lamora" written by Scott Lynch... grand story about a troupe of theives... well one theif in particular, well, they aren't your ordinary second story jobbers... they are fantastic con artists... it's a fantastical pyramid type scheme they get going, in a fantasy/sci-fi kinda world... and it all hits the fan in a very spectacular way... Mr. Lynch's writing is a little verbose, but I tend to like that now and again... and he never loses the story in description. This is the first book in a long time that had me laughing and shouting out loud as I read. I do love getting those advanced reading copies! Makes my job all the more fun!
I've been at this store a year and a half now and have my own following of readers, customers who come in looking for me so we can pass titles back and forth... I am the Queen of the Sci-Fi section! Woot! There may be some really crappy corporate things to cope with but the books make it all worth while!
