Call to Arms: Highlander con
This isn't exactly a con report, still working on that, but some photos at least. Not the best, but not the best camera...but something's better than nothing...right? Bueller? Bueller?
(not dialup friendly)

I never liked Duncan MacLeod, and Adrian Paul never did much for me, but I have to admit that not only is the man extremely sexy IRL, he has a great personality. He was very funny, self-deprecating, and has the most wonderful facial expressions...so different from the dour Highlander.

Adrian here with Peter Wingfield. You just can't look at Peter and not see Methos. The same voice, the same mannerisms, the same wit. He and Adrian work so well off of each other as well.

The panel was supposed to be the Four Horsemen reunited, but as one of them had to bugger off to Australia to play John Lennon, Adrian joined them...and it became "The Three Horsemen and It."

Richard Ridings and Marcus Testory share a wee(?) dram.

Now...there's the Fourth Horseman! Val finally decided to join the con, if only by taped message.

Or did he? A few minutes later, who should happen to call, but Val having just finished his show for the night. Max is chatting to him, as they all did, although he found it a little difficult to hold the mic so we all could hear.

The morning after the night before, and Max looking just a little worse for wear. Richard, OTOH, showed no lasting effects of the prior evening.

Max demonstrates a Quickening, because someone mentioned that neither Caspian nor Silas got to have one, and they felt left out of such an orgasmic experience.

Peter auctioning off a Methos coat. Have to admit, the man looked good in it.

Yeah, Adrian looks good with a sword no matter what. It's only a pity that my camera wasn't good enough to capture a good action shot...because he truly does move beautifully with a sword.

Sorry that this picture is not that good, but I had to include it. It's just so cute!!

Well, we felt better Monday. I got to see Selkie, and let her know why I wasn't there to help her with the silent auction Sunday. Monday we walked about Leeds with Hmpf (http://hmpf.livejournal.com/) looking for Green & Black's Almond Chocolate. We didn't have much like finding it, but there was some with ginger she let me try. I wish I'd brought some home. We also found a comic shop.
I heard them calling out your names and wondered what might have happened.
*Blinks.* Calling out our names? For what? *Raises eyebrows.* Crys was really sick. I went out to buy fluids and medicine. I'd have gone over to the Armoury Sunday, but I didn't trust myself to not get queasy and-or be contagious over there.
He looked lovely in the coat...he even wrapped it around himself in a very Methosian way, but I didn't manage to get a pic of that.
Aww, sounds lovely. Course I was so happy hearing him talk about Methos like I do my muses. :D I said to people if he only has that problem with Methos and Hamlet he's lucky.
Guh.
