1) What is your favorite death scene (movies and/or tv)? Why? So many good ones, it's hard to choose. In movies, Boromir's in FOTR...just so well acted, directed, not overly melodramatic, but still so touching. In TV, the crew of the Scorpio in Blake's 7...this was when I realized that the good guys don't always win...it was a shock and I hated it when I first saw it in 1981, but now I find it's a wonderful way to end a series.

2) Name the top three filmed death scenes of all time, in order. (The list doesn’t necessarily have to include your favorite.) Boromir in FOTR, Robin of Loxley in Robin of Sherwood, The Jackal in The Day of the Jackal.

3) How many times has your favorite character died? Dream sequences can count. Who is it, and how did they die each time? I guess that would probably be Kronos and only counting possible beheadings..it could technically be two (I think). Usually though when a character is dead I like 'em dead.

4) How do you, as a viewer, feel if a show kills, then resurrects a character? I mean, if someone can’t stay in the ground, do you feel it “cheapens” the emotional impact of their death? Or do you now not get upset if a character dies? It depends on how it's handled. Sometimes it's done really well, but most times it is just a cheap trick to lure back viewers, especially if the character was popular. Given that my favourite actors make a career out of dying, I'm used to their characters croaking, I still usually get a bit upset...but if I didn't it would mean their character hadn't affected me.

5) Death stories - love ‘em or hate ‘em? Can you give a two sentence reason? Love them! Again if they are done well. I like death stories where their is a good reason built up for that character's death, rather than just appearing to kill off a character out of the author's spite. I also like them because it is a courageous move to kill off, especially, a major/popular character and it can add a very interesting twist. However, I don't care for "character death" warnings in stories...that is a major spoiler for that story. His or her death will affect me more if I don't know it's coming.
