The base had it's annual Christmas bazaar today. Lots of lovely vendors selling way too much nice stuff. Gave both the kids some $$ to go and buy Christmas presents, telling them that once they got them, they could spend the rest on themselves. Amazingly enough, they did their shopping and did well.

For myself, I got about a six inch disc on a stand modelled after a coin of Alexander the Great. The vendor I got that from had all greek repro stuff...I could have bought about everything on there. They had a gorgeous model of the Parthenon that was in fact a lamp. Out of my price range though. Hopefully, I'll see him again at another bazaar. I also picked up another Myth and Magic figure...I have the Arthurian series...this one from their LOTR series, Boromir of course. Got the H a figure of Roland (from the Song of Roland) as he really likes the entire Charlemagne epic.

Speaking of the H, he went and picked up some pirated really cheap DVDs, the entire Blackadder series, Goodness Gracious Me, three Jackie Chan movies, and Pirates of the Caribbean (though I must wonder to the quality of that).

#1 Son has gone with his g/f and her parents to see Matrix Revolutions over in Luxembourg (has an English language cinema). He's not due home till about 1am or so...and I'm already yawning. Hope he has fun, he really loves the other two. OTOH, I haven't seen Reloaded yet and in no great hurry.
