4caz! *g*
1. Who is your favorite animated character? Why? Daffy Duck. He's just such an opportunistic, crafty, sly, mean duck. What's not to love?
2. Who is your favorite television character? Why? I watch so few new/still in production shows that I can't really pick. I would pick Tyr from Andromeda, but he's not in it anymore...gorgeous and a great character that TPTB did way too little exploring with.
3. Who is your favorite (no longer in production) televison character? Why? Kerr Avon from Blake's 7. To see him originally as the voice of reason and cynicism, then his descent into paranoia and psychopathy was great writing. His cold blooded practicality was (and still is in many cases) refreshing.
4. Who is your favorite television ensemble cast? Why? (If you don't have one/want to imagine the possibilities, assemble one and explain your choices and the fandoms they are from). Blake's 7. All of them, the heroes and the villians interacted so well. Plus the heroes weren't always likeable or heroic, and the ones that tended to be were usually quickly told go die a heroic death and not involve the rest. Very untypical
5. Who is your favorite movie character? Why? This is more changeable than my fave TV characters. But definitely up there are Edward Fox's The Jackal (Day of the Jackal). To see the story from the viewpoint of the killer, and one so unemotional, professional and detached, yet the performance really gave the viewer (well me at least) sympathy for him and rooting for him, even though you KNEW he couldn't succeed.
