Meme: 3 for Thursday
Jul. 10th, 2003 04:43 pm1. Have you ever had pets? If so, name 3 (names and/or types) that you’ve had. (Pet rocks do not count). Hoser -- a Border Collie, fish, and a budgie (Starsky) as a kid.
2. What are 3 things you love or hate about pets? Love, great fun, great companions, and in the case of fish, relaxing. Hate, the clean up, finding a sitter when you go away, and dog hair everywhere.
3. What are 3 types of pets that you’d never have? Any kind of arachnids, small, yappy dogs, and any naturally wild animal.
BONUS: If your pet had to have expensive surgery or lifetime shots (like insulin for a diabetic animal) would you put your pet through it, or make the hard decision to put them to sleep? It would depend. If the animal was young and otherwise healthy, I would probably pay for it. If it was in old age and/or had several other conditions I would choose to put it to sleep...which is what we did with Hoser...she was old, arthritic, incontinent, and going senile...it was better to let her go than put her through procedures that would do little to benefit her longterm.
