30 Days of TV Meme

So after a very nice vacation to Italy, including a few days wandering around one of my favourite cities, Rome and home to England I've needed to get my writing kickstarted again. This continuing meme has helped in the past so hopefully it will again do the trick.

Day 12. An episode you’ve watched more than 5 times

I used to do this quite often many years ago, watch certain episodes multiple times. I very rarely do so today. Partly because I just don't have time, and I'm often too busy catching up with shows I haven't watched for the first time yet. And partly because, well I just don't think of it.

Of the older shows that I've watched episodes multiple times, there are Blake's 7, The Prisoner, and The Professionals of which there are all several or even most episodes I've seen several times. Then there are shows that thanks to repeats and being popular with the family that I've seen countless times, such as The Young Ones, Blackadder, and Red Dwarf.

With Highlander, there are several episodes that I'll always revisit and have certainly watched more than five times, just as there are a few episodes that I try to avoid. Band of Brothers, The Watchers, Methos, Comes a Horseman/Revelation 6:8 are always on my 'go-to' list to watch again and again.

As I said above, more recently there are very few shows that I've watched even one episode more than five times, even if I have the intention to watch all or parts of a show again. Now Galavant I'm well on the way to getting there, and some parts like many of the songs, I've watched many times. Finally, the next show where I can envision watching episodes -- or the entire series -- several times is Lucifer. So far I've only watched all of it twice through, though a few episodes God Johnson, Mr & Mrs Mazikeen Smith, Vegas with Some Radish, and Quintessential Deckerstar I've seen a time or two more.

Questions are here.

I fell behind on Lucifer somewhere during its third season, and haven't managed to get caught up. *Does a quick google.* Given that Netflix has announced they'll give the series a fifth and final season I might finally do some catching up once it's been wrapped up. Needless to say with our shared Highlander fandom history all of your "go-to" Highlander episodes are also go to's of mine.

That all makes it sound like it will be well worth catching up with. I did really enjoy the first two seasons, especially episodes with more of a focus on the metaphysical side of the show rather than the police procedural, all though some of the... sort of... slice of life stuff with the doctor, Chloe's daughter, and-or Chloe's ex were fun too.
