Fandom Meme because I asked [livejournal.com profile] layla_aaron

Comment to this entry and I'll pick up to three of your fandoms. You must then update your journal and answer the following questions:

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
I can't say that I've ever been in the fandom, or even if there is a fandom for Eastenders. It's just one of those British institutions. I started watching it from the very beginning, and though I haven't seen it since I've been back in the US, I still like hearing what's going on.
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
See above, there's no real fandom
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
Some of their storylines have been really good, like Dirty Den and Michelle very early on, to Nick Cotton's nastiness, and subjects like AIDS when it was still quite taboo to deal with it in mainstream media.
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
No.
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
You'll either like it or not, and it goes in waves, like any soap.

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
Sharpe was the first online fandom I got involved with. When I first got online, I did a search for Sean Bean and up came the Compleat and the Sharpetorium...then I was hooked.
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
I have moved on from fandom involvement, although I'm still a great fan of Sharpe, though admittedly my interest in Sean Bean has waned a bit.
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
Episodes: Sharpe's Regiment, Sharpe's Honour. Books: Sharpe's Regiment, Sharpe's Gold, Sharpe's Waterloo, Sharpe's Fortress
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
I used to participate in discussions on the old Bean Buff list, and write fanfics. I even had a couple at the Sharpetorium.
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
It's an old fandom, so I don't see many doing so, but it would be nice to see interest resurrected.

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
I was always a fan ever since it was first shown in the UK. Life moved on, and I pretty much forgot about it until I went to the Sword Spectacular Weekend and Mark Ryan (Nasir) was the MC, and he brought Nasir's swords. He was funny and charming and after I was determined to rewatch the series.
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
I'm not active in the fandom, but I think on some level or another I'll always consider RoS to be an important fandom to me. Nasir is singly responsible for my interest in the Assassins.
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
Robin Hood and the Sorcerer, The Greatest Enemy, The Sheriff of Nottingham...hmmm, all big Nasir eps, fancy that!
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
I've written fanfic and some essays about the Assassins. I've also RP'd Nasir and written him in places like Theatrical Muse.
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
Yes, it's a small but still going strong fandom, with fanfic still being written.

Heh, that's a good variety. Highlander I've stuck with, Charmed I've long since moved on, and Torchwood I wonder about. Course right now I'm working on going to Torchsong in June, but...
