Secretary.

Rented this last night. Very interesting film, especially if you have an interest in S/M. The tension building up to Lee becoming submissive to Edward was very well done as was the conflicting emotions in both of them. What was not so good was the implication that a person...more importantly a woman...needs to have psychological/emotional problems (Lee had just come out of a mental institution for self-infliction) to be attracted to this lifestyle. But all in all a good film with great chemistry between the lead actors. A Keeper!

I've also just finished reading "Kushiel's Chosen" by Jacqueline Carey. A very good fantasy novel set in what I've heard described as an AU Europe. Unfortunately I haven't read the first book in the trilogy yet ("Kushiel's Dart") so I was at a loss at times, wondering what exactly was going on...but I have that on order and am looking forward to it. A short synopsis: Phedre is a courtesan trained in espionage, she is also an anguissette...one for whom pain becomes a pleasure. After saving her land of Terre D'Ange in the first book, she must now do the same and save her Queen from an assassination plot.

Still to be read: LOTR:Return of the King...up to page 60! and still hoping to complete it before the film comes out. And just got "Sharpe's Havoc" out of the library...looking forward to Richard's newest adventure.

*eagerly rubbing my hands together*

I look forward to you being able to read 'Kushiel's Dart' as well. It'll help explain some of those mysteries you prolly encountered. I'm waiting for the third in the series, 'Kushiel's Avatar' to be available at the library. I just checked today and no such luck, yet. *g*
