Tough week at work...

...and still got another day before I get a day off...and that day off coincides with Jury Duty. What fun!

So, I'm relaxing with a bottle of sweet Mosel wine, so if my typing seems to deteriorate, you'll know why. :D

Work did get a little interesting today, when a baby rattlesnake was found under the garbage can in our break room. Never seen a rattler in the 'wild' before. I was there when the custodian found it, and kept an eye on it while he got my manager. It was all curled up, and until I saw it flick its tongue we wondered if it was dead. So my manager got a box and a stick and gave it a little poke, and I even saw it go to strike (cool!)...it was too young to have its rattle. So, anyway, they called the base pest control who came out and caught it to set it free in the fields on base.

But it was neat to find a rattlesnake and see it close up. I usually miss such excitement. Yes, I like snakes it's spiders that freak me out.

Oh thanks for reminding me I havent had any wine today! *g* Jury duty? Ugh! Can't you just say something clever like, "Hang em all, and let God sort them out?" that way they will dismiss you and you can go about your merry way. ;)

We had a baby rattler here that we saw on our limestone walkway. It went to strike my son and, being a mom, I grabbed the nearest garden implement and chopped it to bits! I know, not very humane of me, but you know, threaten the cub and pure instinct takes over! *g* I don't mind snakes or any other creature as long as they obey my simple rules. Don't come into my house and don't mess with my kid. ;)

You know my thing to say is, "I can spot a guilty person from a mile away!" *g* The rather odd thing is, that one of my co-workers is also in the very same jury pool. How random! But I do have to call tomorrow evening to see if I have to go in.

Now, if that had happened, I probably would have done the same thing...it's one thing to like them, but when they get too close like that, it's quite another. :)

Well, hopefully that phrase worked! *g* That is kind of odd that one of your co-workers got chosen, too!

I don't mind snakes, truly. I once snake sat a very large Burmese python named Conan - I think he was like six feet long. So I don't mind snakes at all, just when they attack, we have a problem!

I shall keep my fingers crossed. I know, it's just such a weird coincidence. What are the chances!?

I love the big snakes, pythons, boas...they are just so wonderful. The venomous ones I can give a miss. They're nice to look at, but not too close up!

I don't like spiders OR snakes! Or rodents.

*hugs* You work so hard.

Hehehe..you wouldn't like where I work then. We have all three...the rodents being rats! And the roaches. It's such a LOVELY place!

*Hugs* The thing is, I'm the only one who does any work there. There are three other people in my department...and they're all lazy as hell. Plus a manager who's too gutless to fire any of them.

That's never any fun, carrying the work load alone.
