Gunpowder, Treason & Plot

I find it highly amusing, and a little ironic that the two fallen angels from HEX are Catholic conspirators! *g*

Explanation: Michael Fassbender and Sam Troughton (Azazeal and Remiel) play Guy Fawkes and Tom Winter respectively in the TV film, "Gunpowder, Treason & Plot".

Also Lucius Vorenus from "Rome" is a Scottish lord screwing Mary Queen of Scots (it's not terribly historically accurate).

Hmm, I think Sam Troughton might be the same actor who plays Much on the BBC's new Robin Hood series.

And Lucius as Bothwell?! Interesting! I'd never have pictured that.

He is indeed (and also grandson of the second Doctor Who, Patrick Troughton)! He seems to be in everything. Although I have to admit, I'm not keen on the new series, Robin of Sherwood will always be IT for me.

Yes! He's another actor who is in everything!

Yes, I have Gunpowder, Treason & Plot on Region 2 DVD. I had to see it just for the part that I write for Elizabeth. I was sort of disappointed. There should have been MORE to it.

You do! Of course, you do *g* I didn't think much of that Elizabeth really. Probably two full length movies, one dealing with Mary and one with James would have got more in.

And I guess means you won't be wanting all the screencaps I took of Fawkes for Caroline? *grins* A certain Spartan is insisting she be inundated with pictures of him and his doppelgangers.

I hated the Elizabeth in that movie! What a whiny bitch! Not to mention she didn't have the fashion sense God gave a toad! You're English! You know that Elizabeth I was like THE fashion plate of the 16th Century! She'd wear just about anything if it were elaborate, expensive and showed off her wealth! The Elizabeth in GT&P looked like someone fitted her with a very bad plushy bathrobe and bad hair!

Now wait...I *didn't say that!* Caroline would love to be innundated of anything to do with Stelios! She is absolutely mad about him! Which reminds me, I have to write to that thread. It's CONCERT TIME! Duhn Duhn DUHHHHNNNNN!!!!

I have to say that her dress reminded me of when in middle school I played Catherine of Aragon in a play/pageant and wore a dress just like that! *lol* And the hair looked like they were going for the Cate Blanchett look and failing miserably.

Hehee!! I was just teasing. I have four CDs of pictures and music with significant input from you-know-who. And YAY!! Concert!! Also, I did manage to read Caroline's prompt...LMAO!! And I will comment.

Second also...*g*....finally watched Big Fat Greek Wedding. Will just say...you were so right!! *LOL*

So, Catherine of Aragon - that is still out of style! Elizabeth wouldn't have been caught dead in anything so frightfully.....sensible. ;) What? They were trying Cate Blanchett with a hand held mixer?! Gads! No wonder it looked like a rat's nest! *g*

I know you were teasing! I was teasing right back. FOUR CD's?! Dear god! Now I am definitely going to have to send you more stuff reciprocally! Yes, Caroline had such a good time with that prompt .That was actualy an impromptu RP from a couple of years ago. It was one of the things that made Tosh so very angry with me - because Fanny was having far too much fun with the RP with the Musketeers!

And isn't that movie just hillarious?! I knew you and a certain muse would love it. It is one of the ones in my Laptop case all the time, and I swear it's almost like I can feel Caroline and Stelios giggling the whole time! ;)

And I'm not even saying that was accurate, just a Tudor-period costume from a costume store, rather than a film production with a costume department. And *lol* about the hair.

Oh no! You don't have to at all...it's just because most of the songs are .wma format burned straight from CDs....you probably still sent me more songs.

I love the bit...and Stelios was cracking up...when the father is introducing the family...and there's "Nico, Nico, Nico, Nico, and Nico."
