Torchwood "Combat"

Okay, so still making my way through Torchwood (and I cannot wait for the last two eps!!), and I'm enjoying Combat (ep 111), and it suddenly hits me...

It's "Fight Club" What glee!

Dissaffecting young men finding no meaning in society getting together and punching the crap out of each other. Except, being Torchwood, this has a bit of a kick to it. Fighting each other is just the warm-up. The real match-up is a weevil! The one who lasts longest with the alien wins.

I couldn't help thinking that Tyler would so pwn that weevil.

And in approximately... *glances at FTP* uh, another 8-10 hrs 113 will have finished!

Managed to get 112 loaded up today, and 113 started, reaching 71% by the time I had to fly out the door from work for the pool run after 7pm. Am soooo glad I found SmartFTP, which gives you the ability to 'resume'! I'm even considering buying the damned program! LOL Anyway, have just resumed, and although the first 71% only took less than 3 hrs, the rest of it will take longer, dammit... but still, you will have a complete set! *twirls you and happily feeds the plot bunnies some very large cups of 'industrial strength coffee'!*

Three words: Slash is canon! Hell, it has everything...slash, femmeslash, and oh yeah, some het (plus whatever you'd call sex with aliens *g*). It's so nice when shows oblige us fangirls.

And besides all that...it's a great action/drama show with great characters.
