I did get to see Letterman last night because Paul Walker was on and I hoped to get a glimpse of GB in any clip they might show of "Timeline". Well, I got lucky, they showed about a 30 sec clip that featured him prominently (but also not so good as it featured PW as well). However, my reservations about this film have not been put to rest by this clip. I am looking forward to it...it should be a good adventure film...but I am steeling myself not to be disappointed by its lack of even being closely related to the book. I shall be extremely happy to be disproven when I see the full film that Chris (PW's character) is still the slightly wimpy, chicken of the book and not the hero...and that Marek (GB) is still the knowledgeable, take-charge hero that I adored long before Gerry was cast, however, I'm not hopeful. Last night's clip did not do anything to dispell this feeling.
