Does anyone use Netflix?
Especially having DVDs sent rather than Watch Instantly?
I'm having a problem with them sending me DVDs in order from my queue. This has happened about three times now (first time I thought it might just be a glitch, second time was right around the Holidays so I was too busy to do much about it).
When Netflix receives the DVDs I send back, it tells me that my queue is empty...which it isn't (I currently have some 56 DVDs in my queue). I have two DVDs at a time package.
Then I get sent the next DVDs which seem to be taken randomly from the queue...not the top ones but somewhere in the middle. I would understand not getting the top DVDs if they're indicated as having a waittime or unavailable, but they're not. Even if my top ones are unavailable, they are supposed to send you the nearest to the top available, not somewhere way down the list. And anyway, if my queue is supposedly empty as the email notifications tell me, then how are they picking any from my list.
If anyone does use Netflix, does anyone know of a good contact email/phone number for Netflix customer service? I've tried finding one on their site, but there's nothing except for specific questions, which is not what I want and the one link they have for a phone number just shows blank for me. I have contacted them via Twitter...but really that's not the best forum to try and get this worked out.
I know it's not a huge problem in the grand scheme of things, but it's frustrating as Netflix is really the only way that I have of getting many movies/shows over here in Germany as downloading/streaming is blocked to the US, and even using a proxy IP is getting more unworkable. Also, it's hard enough contacting US companies from over here, not just the expense of a phone call, but the repeated rigarmarole of explaining how you are in Germany, but are still part of the US! Sometimes I just can't wait to leave and go back to the States!
ETA: Okay, a FB friend found a number for me (apparently, I had to log all the way out and still go a couple of clicks to find their 'homepage', and it's there....obviously because no already signed-up customer could ever need to contact them), so I shall be calling later.
ETA2: *sigh* And that number was the British number for Netflix (as friend is in Britain). Although it did clue me in that I had to switch Tunnel Bear to the US proxy...and finally found their number. And will (again) call later (yes, they're available 24/7 but I'm on my way out).
